From ECAB:
FADM Wayne Killough, jr. is working on the annual 990 report for IRS. the EC is currently reviewing proposed updates to the Lifetime/Honorary Membership criteria and verbiage. Once this has been ironed out and is ready, it will be submitted to the Admiralty Board for review and approval.

The Admiralty Board is evaluating the long term feasibility of printed Communique. Based on the feedback of various regions, it appears most folks are OK with the paperless format provided we still have regular publications. Our goal is to provide continued value to our members by addressing different segments’ needs – paperless vs printed (for members with limited Internet access). If your chapter has not send me your feedback on the CQ topic, please do so as soon as possible so I can bring it up during AB discussions.

Fleet activities at large:
Everyone I met at IC 2015 had a great time. Many of us took the opportunity to visit the awesome scenery of Niagara Falls. Some of us even crossed the border for a quick visit to Canada. Now that IC 2015 is done, we can look forward to next year’s STARFLEET International Conference on 8/12-14, 2016 in Louisville, KY. For more info please check out http://www.ic2016.com

ADM Robert Westfall launched several new shakedown chapters – USS Belknap (R1), USS Brian Boru (R20) and USS Tarvos (R3). He also commissioned USS Reaper (R3) on 9/8/15.

ADM Laura Victor, Chief of CompOps is actively seeking volunteers for the Web team, Database team and Social Media team. And you don’t have to be able to “do it all” — if you just do coding, or graphics, manage a Facebook page, or a blog, she can certainly use your help. Please shoot her an email at compops [at] sfi [dot] org if you have any of the following skills and would like to pitch in:

– HTML
– PHP
– Javascript
– Content management systems (WordPress, Joomla, etc.)
– Graphic Design
– Social media (Facebook page administration, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)
– Blogging (we need writers too!)

CFO GEN Linda Olson gave us a summary of the new members by region as processed thru the CFO’s office for the week of September 14th after the last report was filed until 11pm Sept. 20th is as follows. As with the other new member reports, these are only the members with brand new SCC numbers, it does not include renewals. This also does not include any memberships that are holding for clarification or additional information / payment / etc. If you notice that you recruited new members but your total Regional membership is down, it is due to members who have failed to renew. Check your rosters and see who is due to renew their membership and give them a reminder. It may have slipped their minds.

This week we processed 29 new members.
Total Fleet Strength is 4598 with 239 chapters.
